About The Medal Images

I create the images you will see on these pages using different free and creative common resources, especially Wikipedia, official announcements, and in some cases, eBay listings. Unfortunately, not all pictures marked as Creative Commons or fair use are so.

I do my best to ensure all resources on the site are and remain free for all, but this is a one-person show, so I miss things sometimes! If you see any image here that hasn’t been adequately attributed or belongs to you, let me know, and I will remove it immediately. Please use this online form to contact me.

Using These Images on Your Own Projects

You’re free to use any images from this website, but I please ask that you add a reference to this website (and, if possible, a link to it! I appreciate this because it takes a lot of effort to create and maintain this database). Please do not remove the watermark. I’ll be happy to send you higher-quality images if you send me a message, too.

Sending me Images to Add

If you have images of medals and you’d like to share them, I’ll be more than happy to add them to site! You can use the form below, and I’ll get back to you ASAP. Ideally, the best images are high-resolution closeups with clean backgrounds (light-colored when possible). Thank you so much for your help!
